Sleeper dynasty draft assistant
The room reads your live Sleeper dynasty draft and models what happens before your next turn — which players survive, which tier is about to break, and who is about to take your guy.
How this tool works
What the draft room reads from Sleeper
Connect a Sleeper username and every draft attached to your leagues is listed here — live rooms first, then upcoming, then finished. Or paste any Sleeper draft link or ID to open a room for a league you are not in, which is how you scout a startup before you join it. Nothing is written back to Sleeper; the room only reads the public draft, its picks and its order.
The room works out the draft shape on its own: snake order, third-round reversal when the league uses it, and which pick numbers belong to your slot for the rest of the draft. It also notices when a draft is a rookie draft — Sleeper does not flag that — and switches the yardstick from the overall dynasty board to the rookie class, so a sensible rookie pick is not graded as a huge reach against veterans.
Who survives to your next pick
A rankings list tells you who is best. It does not tell you who will still be there. Between your picks the room simulates the intervening selections a few hundred times, sampling from the remaining pool with a rank-weighted model: real drafters mostly take near the top of the board, but not always. That noise is exactly what decides whether a player makes it back to you.
The result is a survival chance for each name and a view of each position’s tier: how many players at the level you want are expected to be left when you are on the clock again. Recommendations fold that in along with your roster needs, and every suggestion explains itself so you can disagree on purpose. Read positional scarcity in dynasty drafts for the reasoning behind it.
Runs, tier cliffs and the rest of the room
A run is a burst of same-position picks well above that position’s normal share of the board. The baseline comes from the remaining pool, so a quarterback run in Superflex has to clear a higher bar than one in 1QB. A run alert is a prompt to re-check your tiers, not an order to chase the position.
Tier cliffs measure the gap between the best player left at a position and the next one. A big gap is worth drafting into; a flat position can wait. Opponent profiles show how each drafter has built so far — who is loading quarterbacks, who is leaning on receivers, how young their picks skew and which positions they have not filled yet — which is the best predictor of the picks right before yours. See reading opponent profiles in a live draft.
Every pick already made is graded against consensus with a tolerance that widens by round: three spots early at 1.02 is a reach, at 4.10 it is noise. When enough of your tier is expected to survive, the room also flags a trade-back window — moving down a few slots and still landing equivalent value. The trade-back guide covers when to take it.
Common questions
Do I need to give DynastyHub my Sleeper password?
No. The draft room reads public Sleeper draft data from a username or a pasted draft link. There is no login, no OAuth and nothing is ever posted to your league.
Does the draft room work for rookie drafts and startups?
Yes. Rookie drafts are detected from the picks themselves and graded against the rookie class; startups use the full dynasty board. Superflex, 1QB and TE premium follow the format control in the header.
How accurate is the survival percentage?
It is a simulation, not a prediction of one specific pick. It is most useful for comparing risk: whether waiting on a position is likely to cost you the tier, or whether the player you want is almost certain to come back.
Can I open a draft for a league I am not in?
Yes. Paste the Sleeper draft link or ID into “Open by ID”. That is useful for scouting a startup you are about to join or following a friend’s draft.
