Dynasty trade calculator

Build both sides of a dynasty trade at once. Packages get a depth discount because roster spots are finite, and when a Sleeper league is loaded, deals are scored against the starting lineup they would actually produce.

How this tool works

Superflex vs 1QB changes every quote

Superflex and 1QB are different markets. A quarterback who looks like a luxury in 1QB can be the most valuable piece in Superflex. Tight end premium does the same one slot down. Match the Superflex / 1QB toggle in the header to your league before you add a single name — if the format is wrong, the rest of the quote is noise.

If you have connected a Sleeper username, load that league into the calculator instead of the open pool. League context locks both sides to players and picks those rosters actually own. An open-pool quote answers “is this even close?” A league-loaded quote answers “does this help Monday night?”

Four sources, one blended number

DynastyHub does not copy a single board. Each side is priced with the same blend used on the values board: FantasyCalc (completed trades), KeepTradeCut (crowd-sourced), Dynasty Daddy’s proprietary market, and RosterAudit’s Elo-style values.

Every source publishes on its own scale, so a raw average would be meaningless. Each feed is rescaled so its own maximum is 10,000, lined up to a shared value curve so no one site’s scale tilts the result, then combined with weights you control. A source a player is missing from has its weight redistributed rather than counting as zero. Changing weights is fine; cherry-picking whichever source makes your side look better is how arguments start and deals die.

Depth discount: roster spots are finite

Raw totals treat five dart throws as equal to one starter. They are not. The calculator sorts each package by value, counts the best asset fully, and applies a depth discount to each extra name — stepping down from 100% and never below 55%. That is what stops three WR4s from “beating” a first-round pick.

Two-for-one consolidations often look like losses on raw value and wins after the discount. That is the point. The extra player you send had a roster job; the extra spot you gain has a value. If you ignore that, you will never accept a consolidation your lineup needed. Prefer one real piece or a pick with a defined slot over dumping extra names onto the shorted side.

Sleeper lineup scoring, not just package totals

Contenders should care who starts. A deal that “wins” on total value while swapping your RB1 for two bench receivers can lose you the week. When a Sleeper league is loaded, DynastyHub projects each team’s optimal starting lineup before and after the trade, using that league’s real slots — including Superflex.

Rebuilders should invert the test. Lineup impact this year can be negative if you are selling a veteran for picks. That is allowed. The bar will look lopsided because you are buying future optionality. Name that explicitly so you do not talk yourself out of a correct rebuild move because the gauge went red.

Balancer suggestions exist for the awkward middle: you like the structure but not the last gap. Use them as a menu, not as the one true sweetener. The right balancer is the piece the other roster actually needs. For a longer walkthrough, see how to use a dynasty trade calculator.

Common questions

What is the best dynasty fantasy football trade calculator?

The useful answer is the one that matches your format and, ideally, your actual rosters. DynastyHub blends four public markets, discounts extra depth because roster spots are finite, and can score a Sleeper league’s real lineups. KeepTradeCut, FantasyCalc, and others quote different markets — compare Superflex vs 1QB settings before you compare grades.

How does DynastyHub’s depth discount work?

Each side is sorted by value. The best asset counts at 100%. Each additional player or pick counts a little less, floored at 55%. The adjusted total is what the fairness gauge uses. Raw sums are still shown so you can see how much the extra names were marked down.

Does the calculator work for Superflex and TE premium?

Yes. Set Superflex or 1QB in the header; TE premium follows the same format controls. Opening a Sleeper league auto-detects those settings from the league itself. You never need a Sleeper password — a username is enough to load public rosters.

Should I only accept trades the calculator says I win?

No. Insisting on a win on every trade is how you go inactive. Target close deals that improve your timeline or starting lineup. A 5–8% gap is usually negotiation room. A 25% gap is a bad offer or a format mismatch. Green means market-close, not that you should trade your only Superflex quarterback for a committee of running backs.
